My interest in observation has faded somewhat into the background, but have recently resurfaced in the third pier. This cinematic installation explores porous border between fiction and documentary, continuing my interest in expanded cinema that questions where the cinema begins and ends. Film takes place on the beach, which is itself a liminal space between culture and nature and in itself acts as a stage for striped-down social behaviours and as projection plane for desires and fears. This beach was also the place I used to spend my summer holidays when I was a kid so getting back there to question the notion of documentary was paradoxically a way of regaining my childhood memories.
